Drafting Manual CD-ROM

More and more of our work gets done on computers. As a result, consumers are demanding that reference information be available in electronic form. Genium Publishing asked us to help them answer that demand by using Adobe Acrobat's Portable Document Format technology to build a CD-ROM version of their popular Modern Drafting Practices and Standards Manual.

We took the PDF documents that Genium had generated and added Acrobat features to them, including:

Bookmarks,
Document Info,
Hyperlinks, and
Articles.

We also wrote the documentation for the CD-ROM, wrote a Windows install program for it, and created the master CD-ROM. The CD-ROM we created used a hybrid ISO 9660 / Mac HFS format, so it works seamlessly on the Windows, Macintosh, HP-UX, and Solaris/SunOS platforms.
